FAQ

Common questions

How soon can I be seen?

Most new patients have a first appointment within two weeks. Telehealth slots often open sooner.

Do I need a referral?

No. Some insurance plans ask for one, and we'll tell you if yours does when we verify benefits.

Do you prescribe controlled medications?

When clinically appropriate and after a full evaluation. Some medications need an in-person visit and regular monitoring.

What if I need help between appointments?

Message your provider through the patient portal for non-urgent needs. For emergencies, call or text 988 or call 911.

About this template

This is a website shell, not a hosted website

PracticeReady Sites delivers the design, layout, and written content, customized with your practice's name, providers, services, and colors. To go live, you still need a hosting service and a few accounts of your own.

What you get

  • A complete, mobile-friendly site design with light and dark modes
  • Page content written for mental health practices
  • Crisis resources, insurance, FAQ, and contact sections
  • Buttons ready to link to your patient portal

What you still need

  • A domain name (for example, yourpractice.com)
  • A web hosting service to put the site online
  • A practice email address
  • A HIPAA-compliant patient portal or EHR for intake and scheduling

Security comes first

  • Keep health information off the website. The contact form is for general questions only. Intake, records, and clinical messages belong in your HIPAA-compliant portal.
  • Get a signed BAA.Any hosting, form, or email service that will handle patient information must sign a Business Associate Agreement. Most standard website hosts and form tools do not.
  • Use HTTPS on every page.Choose a host that includes an SSL certificate so the padlock appears in visitors' browsers.
  • Lock down your accounts.Turn on two-factor sign-in and use strong, unique passwords for your hosting, domain, and email accounts.
  • Be careful with tracking tools.Analytics and ad pixels can share visitor data with third parties. Review them with a compliance advisor before adding any.
  • Keep it maintained.Apply updates, keep backups, and post your privacy policy and Notice of Privacy Practices.
